Create an owner account, complete owner setup, add your first property and choose whether the property is tenanted or vacant.

Adding properties

Each active property is tracked separately for pricing, compliance, tenancy, documents and records.

  • Occupied, vacant and preparing count as active
  • Archived properties do not count
  • State rules follow the property state

Tenant and tradie access

Tenants and tradies need owner-enabled portal access for the email address they use to sign in.

Rent ledger

RentalKey records owner-supplied rent information. It does not collect rent or process tenant payments.

Money handling

RentalKey does not collect, hold or transfer rent or bond money. Stripe is only for owner software subscription billing.

Common questions

Can tenants or tradies sign in without an invitation?

No. Tenant and tradie access only works when an owner has enabled portal access for the matching email address.

Does RentalKey collect rent or bond money?

No. RentalKey records owner-supplied rent and bond information, but it does not collect, hold or transfer rent or bond money.

Where should owners go for legal or emergency issues?

RentalKey is an administration website. Owners should use official authorities, qualified advisers or emergency services when the issue involves legal, tax, financial or urgent safety decisions.
